COSMOS ALUMINIUM: Modern Pediatric ICU in Larissa - A Project of Life and Hope

Since August 19, 2024, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) "Fani Kantonia" has been officially operational, a donation by COSMOS ALUMINIUM SA and the Kantonia’s family.

Once again, the company has demonstrated its strong commitment to social responsibility, showcasing its dedication to contributing to society. The ambitious project of constructing the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Pediatric Clinic of the General University Hospital of Larissa was finalized through the company’s initiative.

Under the leadership of COSMOS ALUMINIUM's president, Mr. Xenofon Kantonia, and the intensive management by his daughter, Eri Kantonia, the project was completed within a reasonable timeframe, delivering a modern 6-bed Pediatric ICU on August 19, 2024. The unit, dedicated to the memory of Fani Kantonia, has been fully equipped with the most advanced intensive care technology and was immediately staffed, providing critical healthcare services for the first time in Central Greece, addressing a long-standing need for pediatric intensive care.

This project, highlights how solidarity and innovation can be successfully combined, bringing substantial benefits to society as a whole. This initiative conveys a powerful message of hope and optimism for the future of pediatric care in Greece.
