Architecture with a Mission: How Three ETEM Projects Make a Difference in Communities

Architectural systems are an essential part of high‑quality buildings. When thoughtfully engineered, they help create buildings that elevate their surroundings and deliver lasting value. In recent years, projects realized with ETEM solutions have done exactly that, combining performance, sustainability, and design excellence to meet real community needs. From healthcare to sports and education, these projects show how precision engineering and innovative aluminum systems can turn architecture into a driver of positive change.

MBALDB “St. Anastasia”, Burgas

A hospital that brings hope

Bolnitsa Burgas

In the heart of Burgas’ Zornitsa district rises the new children’s hospital “St. Anastasia” a modern medical facility of over 28,000 sq. m, designed by the architectural studio Kabano. This is more than a construction project; it is an investment in the future of its young patients.

In the new children’s hospital in Burgas, ETEM systems play a central role in creating a safe, bright, and energy‑efficient environment. The ventilated façade system E97GH ensures exceptional aesthetics and energy performance, a crucial factor for pediatric healthcare facilities. The curtain wall systems E85 and EF50 provide maximum natural light and excellent thermal insulation while emphasizing the building’s contemporary appearance. The operable systems E75FD, EW70, and E45 contribute to the comfort of patients and staff through reliable ventilation, stability, and ease of use.

A1 Motor Park Racetrack, Samokov

Next‑generation sports infrastructure

Lara

One of the most impressive sports projects in Bulgaria relies on a combination of ETEM’s high‑tech façade solutions. The E85 SG & Cap system shapes the building’s dynamic appearance with large glazed surfaces and outstanding weather resistance, essential for the mountain climate in Samokov. The E45 system is integrated into the structure, allowing precise coordination of operable and fixed elements without disrupting the overall façade line.

For the entrance and functional zones, the E75 FD system is used, a door solution with high insulation performance and exceptional durability, ideal for high‑traffic sports facilities.

A1 Motor Park in Samokov stands out with panoramic glazing, modern architecture, and spaces designed for professional training and major events.

The new academic building of “G. S. Rakovski” High School is among the distinguished projects in the “Building of the Year” competition in the category Social Infrastructure – Science, Culture, and Education. The project impresses with a contemporary learning environment, functional architecture, and sustainable materials.

The school's modernization incorporates two of ETEM’s most successful systems. The E85 façade system ensures high energy efficiency and abundant natural light, both of which have been proven to enhance the learning environment. The operable E45 system supports natural ventilation and classroom comfort while maintaining the building’s elegant appearance.

These solutions guarantee optimal daylight, a healthy indoor environment, and low energy consumption, key elements of modern educational spaces.

As a leading company in the development of architectural systems, ETEM is responsible for contributing to projects that transform their environment and leave a lasting mark. ETEM strives to be not just a supplier of systems, but an active partner in creating spaces with long‑term value, spaces that serve children, students, athletes, and the entire community.
