Its construction was financed by the businessman Carlos Slim and its construction amounted to more than 47 million euro. In the 6-storey Museo Soumaya, you can explore different types of works of art from Europe and Mexico. The avant-garde design of the building attracts attention immediately. The Museum of Contemporary Art is the work of the architect Oscar Niemeyer. The architecture is stunning, especially against the background of natural beauties. The building of the museum has the shape of an inverted cone, which resembles a flying saucer, landed in the middle of a circular pool like a giant water flower. Mainly made of white-colored reinforced concrete, the museum is divided into four levels, connected by a spiral staircase.

Messner Mountain Museum—Corones, Italy

Messner Mountain Museum is the last of a series of six mountain museums built by Messner, the first person to climb all 14 mountains over 8,000 meters, and the first to climb Mount Everest without the aid of tanked oxygen. The museum is dedicated to the mountain history and offers a unique view of the majestic mountain walls of the Dolomites and the Alps. On the edge of the most magnificent observation site in South Tyrol, in the distinctive building of the museum created by Zaha Hadid, the view stretches beyond the borders of South Tyrol to all points of the compass:  from the valleys of Lienz in the east to the Ortler in the west, from the Marmolada in the south to the Zillertal Alps in the north.
